Silver Art Bars
commemorated cars,
horses, patriotic themes, presidents, guns, celebrities, and
everything else that is America and the World.
From Watergate to
Coors Lite.
They pre-dated the big silver meltdown of 1979-1980, when
millions of these ingots were melted for their
silver value (almost $50 each).
That left a very
limited supply.
Because mintages were often extremely low, many of these genuine
antique art bars are extremely rare today.
Their value derives from a combination of factors:
the intrinsic value of the silver, collectibility, and rarity.
All
bars/rounds are .999 fine, one troy ounce silver,
unless otherwise noted.
Fremont Coin
Co., Inc. also resells full sets
of boxed (generally cherry wood) silver art bar 'collections' .
Carlino Silver
Co., a
subsidiary of
Fremont Coin Co.,
Inc.,
produced some of the rarest silver art bars and ingots,
with productions as low as 100 units minted.
